Lanna’s Bio
Lanna Pendleton Hall has been painting since the early 1980’s. She is inspired by the sky. In her work, she attempts to capture the interesting weather that rolls across the plains of northwest Ohio where she lives. She paints on stretched linen canvas using photographs she has taken of particular weather events.
She received a BS in Education, an MA and MFA in art with a focus on painting, and taught art for 31 years. Her work is included in numerous corporate and private collections. She has done many solo and collaborative shows and exhibits her paintings at the American Gallery. She has also shown in regional and national venues, including the Butler Institute of American Art, and the Toledo Area Artists’ Exhibition at the Toledo Museum of Art. She is retired from teaching and paints full time. She is a member of the Athena Art Society, the Black Swamp Art Guild, the Hillsdale Art Guild, and the Toledo Artists Club.
