Jules’ Bio
Jules Webster is an American landscape painter, b. 1983. A former potter and metalsmith, Jules approaches two-dimensional painting with a strong materials-based sensibility. She is an educator, entrepreneur, community arts advocate, art materials expert, and the owner and founder of The Art Supply Depo. With two locations located in Sylvania + Bowling Green, Ohio, The Depo’s are fine art supply stores that provide high quality art materials and educational opportunities for artists of all ages.
Jules’ art practice is multi-faceted. She creates large format studio-based landscape paintings that explore the optics of light, color, and color perception in the human eye. She also creates smaller to mid-sized Plein Air paintings and mixed media drawings that are used as sketches, studies, and support for larger studio works.
