Artist Statement
The unique challenge of creating a mural is that you are not designing on a blank canvas. The surrounding architecture, furniture period and style and color scheme will dictate the direction of the painting in its permanent setting. Also, there is already an owner and you must appeal to the owner’s senses.
What often makes the design effective is that your painting might be a subject you would expect to see beyond the wall.
In canvas paintings, where there are no restrictions, i enjoy the opportunity of communicating my feelings from heart to canvas.
In all of these art pieces, i like to tell a story of something that is about to happen.
