Carol’s Bio

Carol Sicha was inspired by her Waite H.S. art teacher, Kathy Genzman, also an Athena Sister.  She studied fine painting at the University of Toledo and Interior Design at Davis College.

Carol has enjoyed a career of decorative and mural painting for 38 years.  Creating a sense of atmosphere to enhance the interiors and backgrounds inhabited by her patrons in their daily lives is her privilege.  Her work forms a part of the permanent collections of many Ohio institutions, including St. Joseph Catholic Church (Maumee), Firelands Hospital (Sandusky). Flower Hospital (Sylvania) and Toledo Children’s Hospital.

“In my painting, it is my intention to capture a mood or suggest an event that is about to take place.  I enjoy communicating my feelings from heart to canvas, telling the story with complimentary colors and gestural brush strokes.”
