Athena Art Society’s Participation in Artomatic 419
Artomatic 419 is an “art happening” event at 407 Washington St. in downtown Toledo, Ohio, celebrated on three Saturdays in April (2, 9 & 16). Volunteers from Athena offered several hands-on workshops making boxes and zines on April 2. On the second floor Athena has a table for participants to make their own interpretations of the Mona Lisa, based on a recent fundraiser by the organization. Photos are from April 2.
On April 9, Ann Hymel, an Athena member, is demonstrating hands-on fused glass pins/pendants as an Athena-sponsored scholarship and community outreach fundraiser. Volunteer members will be assisting her at the same location on the first floor in the Washington St. building. Ann has her own business called FUZED Glass.
Artomatic continues on April 16 with even more surprises! Athena’s activity and display table on the second floor of the Washington St. building will continue to feature their “Mona” activity. Visit Sue Stewart, another Athena member, at her booth in the 25 S. St. Clair building, an additional building in the Artomatic event.
