Athena’s 2016 Spring Non-Juried Exhibition
Athena has chosen this spring to exhibit their 2016 Non-Juried Show at the Toledo School for the Arts in their Gallery 333, located in downtown Toledo, Ohio. The exhibit ran April 8 to April 29. Above are some images of the artists’ work in the show.
Toledo School for the Arts is a public “community” or charter school with an intense visual and performing arts environment, focused on providing a college prep academic curriculum of core subjects along with music, dance, theatre and visual arts classes. TSA opened its admission in 1999 to creative students in grades 6-12, who seek an educational community of peers serious about their artistic endeavors. It is sponsored by Bowling Green State University.
TSA provides students opportunities to work with professional artists to expand their arts experiences and knowledge. ARTnerships are available with the area’s cultural institutions such as the Toledo Museum of Art, the Toledo Symphony, the Toledo Repertoire Theatre, the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, the Toledo Zoo and others.
The school has been rated Excellent by the Ohio Department of Education and has received national attention as a U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School, a Bronze level recognition by U.S. News and World Report as one of the nation’s top high schools and Charter School of the Year by the Center for Education Reform. Creative students find a welcoming artistic environment that challenges and celebrates the arts.
